Bio:
Stephanie Gibson has been serving the local Young Men’s Christian Association better known as the YMCA, in Columbus Mississippi since 1994. While also currently serving on the International YMCA Mission Network and the US Mission Network development team for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Gibson functions as the Christian Mission Director as well as a Licensed Chaplain through the International Fellowship of Chaplains, IFOC.
Her educational experiences include a BA degree from Carson Newman University. She acquired her master’s degree in counseling and is accredited with the American Association of Christian Counselors. Additional certifications include Aquatics for Special Populations, Lakeshore Foundation, Birmingham Alabama; Movement Disorder Specialist, Emory University Atlanta, Georgia; Trainer and Facilitator of Restore Small Groups Journey to Freedom courses, Nashville, Tennessee.
Stephanie’s longevity in ministry has been consistently fueled by two things: A deep gratitude to the Word of God for the restoration, renewal, and bountiful care she steadily experiences in her own personal life.
This, in turn fosters the desire to see others come to know this same “Rescuer” and implement a variety of creative means by which to encourage and equip them to follow Him.
She has always called the south her home and currently resides in Mississippi with her husband of 37 years. They have two adult Sons and two daughters-in-law.
